Statistical Excel tools for download
Over the course of our consulting work, we have developed a number of statistical tools in MS-Excel® for statistical tests, estimations, and determining sample sizes. These are made available here free of charge (version: MS Excel XP, backward compatible with MS Excel 2000, upward compatible with Excel 2003, Excel 2007, Excel 2010, Excel 2013, Excel 2016, Excel 2019, Office 365). The files contain a brief description and a pre-configured example.
Please note: Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the tools and the cleanliness of the files with regard to computer viruses. However, ACOMED statistik cannot formally accept liability in the event that incorrect results occur when using the tools or that the files are infected with computer viruses.

Chi2-Test
Evaluation of a four-field table (unlinked samples), including the relative proportions. Notes on the validity of the procedure with small sample sizes, presentation of results with and without co-op.continuity correction

Reliabilität, kappa, McNemar-Test
Evaluation of a contingency table for paired samples. Indication of relative proportions. Indication of agreement measures when applied to diagnostic accuracy with respect to the comparison method (corresponding to CLSI EP12). Calculation of kappa including confidence interval. McNemar test.

Measures of diagnostic accuracy including confidence interval
New calculation of Measures of diagnostic accuracy
Sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, DLR , DLR- including confidence interval. For the predictive values (PPV, NPV), whether it is a case-control study or not is taken into account.

Excel-Tools Äquivalenztests (TOST)
TOST (1 group)
Two-sided t-test (equivalence test) for the mean of a group. Includes the confidence interval of the mean. Applications include robustness experiments, method comparisons, and other applications where related data are considered: pairwise differences are entered. Includes tabulation of required sample sizes.
Excel tool TOST (1 group)
TOST (2 groups)
Two-sided t-test (equivalence test) for comparing two means (unrelated data). Includes the confidence interval of the difference and a table of required sample sizes.

Confidence interval for a proportion
The primary focus is on the Wilson score confidence interval, which is frequently used for sensitivity and specificity, for example. Other confidence intervals are also provided (including Pearson-Clopper, used as an alternative to the Wilson score, and Agresti-Coull, frequently used in the safety domain).

Excel-Tool OR vs. pConfidence interval for standard deviationstitle
Calculations of factors dependent on the sample size, by which the standard deviation (or %CV) must be multiplied to specify the limits of the confidence interval. In the context of precision studies (analytical performance), the one-sided, upper confidence interval is crucial.

Factors for confidence, prediction and tolerance interval at a given standard deviation
Specifies the factor by which the standard deviation must be multiplied to determine the corresponding interval, depending on the sample size. Calculation according to USP <1210> (Statistical tools for procedure validation).
